The 1st annual Surfers Healing Event for autism will be held in Sayulita, Nayarit on Jan. 18th & Jan. 19th. Surfers Healing is an organization whose mission is to enrich the lives of people living with autism by exposing them to the unique experience of surfing. Israel and Danielle Paskowitz originally founded Surfers Healing because of their son, Isaiah, who has autism. When Isaiah struggled with meltdowns and sensory overload, the Paskowitzes learned that the experience of surfing the waves with his father helped calm him down. As a result, they were inspired to create Surfers Healing to help other children with autism through the experience of surfing.
